Flooding on the Bhote Koshi and upper Trishuli on 26 August 2026 destroyed roads and settlements around Timure and Syabrubesi. The road up to Syabrubesi and the Rasuwagadhi border into Tibet are closed, and the Langtang and Gosaikunda treks are closed or restricted. If your plans go through Rasuwa, Langtang or the Kerung/Rasuwagadhi border, do not travel — postpone, and check with your operator.
