Bhotekoshi Bungee Jump
A high-adrenaline jump from the suspension bridge above the Bhotekoshi gorge.
The Bhotekoshi bungee is Nepal's classic adventure jump: a 160m freefall from a suspension bridge spanning the steep Bhotekoshi gorge near the Tibet border. The jump platform sits above one of the deepest river gorges in Nepal, with the turquoise Bhotekoshi River rushing far below. The operation is run by experienced international jump masters, and the harness and cable systems follow global safety standards. The full experience typically takes 2–3 hours including registration, safety briefing, the jump itself, and the walk back up from the river landing zone. Jumpers must be at least 18 and weigh between 40–120 kg. The operation runs from September to June, closing during peak monsoon when the gorge gets heavy rain and wind. Mornings are calmer; afternoon gusts can cancel jumps. Most visitors book as a day trip or overnight from Kathmandu — the drive is about 3 hours via the Araniko Highway toward the Kodari border. The Last Resort, the main operator, also runs the canyon swing and rafting on the same stretch, so combining activities is common. Book at least a day in advance; same-day slots fill quickly in peak season.
