Bhotekoshi Canyon Swing
A giant swing over the Bhotekoshi gorge for travelers who want a longer freefall arc.
The canyon swing is a pendulum freefall from the same suspension bridge as the Bhotekoshi bungee, but the harness and arc give a different experience — longer airtime, a sweeping swing across the gorge, and less of the sharp snap-back feeling. The jump height and gorge setting are identical, so the views and adrenaline are comparable. Sessions run alongside the bungee operation, typically September through June. The swing takes about the same time as the bungee (2–3 hours total including setup), and the same weight and age rules apply. Many travelers do both in one visit — the bungee first for the pure vertical drop, then the swing for the longer arc. Getting there is the same as the bungee: 3 hours from Kathmandu along the Araniko Highway. The Last Resort runs both activities and offers overnight packages that include rafting and other adventure options. Book at least a day ahead, especially on weekends and during October–November peak season.
