Pokhara ZipFlyer
A steep zipline descent from the hills above Pokhara toward the valley floor.
The Pokhara ZipFlyer is a steep zipline descent from the hills above Pokhara toward the valley floor, covering about 1.8 km with a vertical drop of roughly 600 meters. It is one of the steepest zip lines in the world, with speeds that can reach 120+ km/h on the steeper sections. The ride takes about 2 minutes from start to finish. The activity works well as a half-day add-on to a Pokhara stay, especially for travelers who want something more active than lakeside lounging but less committing than a multi-day trek. Riders must be at least 12 years old and weigh between 35–125 kg. The operation is weather-dependent and closes in heavy rain or strong winds; mornings are more reliable. The launch point is a short drive from Pokhara Lakeside, and most operators include pickup and return transport. Combine it with a Sarangkot sunrise visit or paragliding on the same day since the departure points are close. Book at least a day in advance during peak season (October–November, March–April).
