Seti River Half-Day Rafting
A gentler rafting option near Pokhara with warm water and softer rapids.
Seti River rafting is a gentler alternative to the Trishuli, designed for families, first-time rafters, or travelers who want a half-day water activity based from Pokhara. The Seti runs warm (it drains south-facing slopes) and the rapids are Class II–III, making it suitable for children as young as 7. The trip typically takes 2.5–4 hours on the river, with pickup from Pokhara Lakeside in the morning and return by early afternoon. The river passes through a scenic gorge with limestone caves and lush vegetation. The put-in point is about 30 minutes from Pokhara by road. All equipment and a riverside snack are included by most operators. Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet and bring a change for the drive back. The season mirrors other Nepal rafting — September through June, with the best water levels in October–November and March–April. Book a day ahead; morning departures are more reliable for weather.
