This is Pokhara's classic ridge ride — a steep, sustained climb from Lakeside up to Sarangkot (1,592m), the valley's most famous sunrise and paragliding viewpoint, followed by a rolling ridgeline traverse west toward Naudanda on the old Baglung highway.
The climb is the crux and rewards strong riders with one of the widest Himalayan panoramas in the region, from Dhaulagiri through the Annapurnas to Machhapuchhre and Manaslu. The descent options back to the valley make it a satisfying half-to-full day depending on pace.
Gradient, distance, and the exact descent line are indicative pending verified route data; confirm current road works on the Baglung highway section before riding.
