Sarangkot is Pokhara's most iconic sunrise viewpoint, offering a sweeping 180-degree panorama of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges including Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Lamjung Himal. Pokhara Valley and Phewa Lake spread out below.
Most visitors drive partway and hike the final 20-30 minutes to the hilltop tower, though a full hike from Lakeside through terraced farmland is rewarding. The viewpoint also doubles as Nepal's premier paragliding launch site.
Pre-dawn starts are essential for the best sunrise views. The light hitting the Annapurna range at dawn is one of the most photographed scenes in Nepal.
