Neighborhood
Sighal (Shree Gha), central Kathmandu (near Dharmakirti Bahal, close to Thamel)
Nhuche Baha, formally Bajradhatu Mahavihar, is a Newar Buddhist courtyard monastery in the Sighal (Shree Gha) quarter of central Kathmandu, only a short distance from Dharmakirti Bahal and the Kathesimbhu Stupa, and a few minutes' walk south of Thamel.
Like the valley's other bahals, it is a living courtyard shrine maintained across generations by its resident Buddhist community, part of the dense network of Vajrayana monastic courtyards in this part of the old city.
This is a short entry; further detail on the monastery's founding, its enshrined kwapah-dyah, inscriptions, and festival calendar will be added as it is confirmed.
